It’s December 31, 1999, and the threat of the Y2K bug divided the population into two types of people: those who are panicking and those who are partying like it’s 1999. Jo Jive, the owner of the hottest record label of the decade, just wants to party. Jo invites the most VIP of VIPs to the hip new nightclub, Encore Lemieux, for a potential end-of-the-world celebration. What was intended to be a bougie, totally exclusive affair takes a turn when some uninvited guests arrive, invitation mysteriously in hand. 

As midnight approaches and the threat of the Y2K bug draws near, not everyone plans to ring in the New Year in typical fashion. A killer is afoot.

How It Works

Y2Killer can be played with 5 to 20 players, all gender-neutral characters and expertly crafted in-house. The game forgoes the playing board to create an interactive and improvisational experience for players, ensuring a hilarious night.

Every player is given a detailed character description with 5-7 guiding objectives per round to uncover the killer – and from there – all bets are off! Players are encouraged to let loose and allow their imagination to run wild while they interact with others for the ultimate whodunnit experience.

Y2Killer is great for friends, family, and co-workers. Recommended for ages 17+. We provide instant access upon purchase. Just print and play!

Good all around game

Pretty good at getting people to have fun and be involved, and a decent puzzle. Just lacking that extra to make it 5 stars. It is probably due to the flexibility of having between 5-16 players, but that results in many people not playing an important role. Secondly, the puzzle lacked the depth needed for 5 stars.

It was great fun! I messed up with the booklets, but that’s on me. Make sure to read everything! I’ll also add I wish the objectives and clues were more investigative.

Great game for an unforgettable night!

The Y2Killer Murder Mystery was very well made and made for an unforgettable night! Once the game was purchased, I used a local office supply store to print all of the materials needed. My friends all committed to the game, came dressed up, and we all had an amazing time learning about the different mysteries and rooting out the killer. I highly recommend buying this game to shake up your usual hang out and encourage everyone to go all in on the theme. We all loved it!

Incredible game and stellar customer service

I did a little looking around before choosing a murder mystery for a 20+ person Bach party weekend, and went with the Y2K game from Mischief Games. Everyone felt comfortable with what info they had coming into the game, character costume suggestions, and as host I felt prepared too. By the end of the weekend, everyone viewed this as the highlight and was still making character jokes.
I emailed with a question, and their team was so helpful!
